Taking good care of your leather jacket

It is recommended to waterproof your leather jacket every year. The waterproofing will protect your clothes from rain and any other splashes. It is also advised not to leave your leather in the sun, it could crack and fade.

How to clean your leather jacket?

Put a few drops of milk or cleaning foam and apply the product to the leather, making circular motions. Then take a clean cloth to remove the excess material. Next, apply maintenance lotion or colorless cream to nourish the leather and make it shinier. Let it dry for several hours in the open air on a hanger. You can then reapply a waterproofing spray to protect the jacket.

Be careful, suede and nubuck garments should not be maintained with the same products as smooth leather ones. They should be cleaned with specific brushes and waterproofed.
